Walloon Lake straddles the boundary between Charlevoix and Emmet Counties. With its long narrow arms and many bays, it has the feel of several connected lakes when you are on the water. As naturally beautiful as Walloon is, the many fancy lakeside homes are just as interesting for sightseeing on a slow cruise around the shore. The tiny settlement of Walloon Lake is the only bit of commercial activity directly on the water.
